Qualcomm’s new ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor Goes Through Metal, Glass And Displays Coming soon.

Qualcomm has introduced the new technology under-display fingerprint sensor that’s located inside the display on 27 June 2017 at MWC Shanghai. This is the next generation of fingerprint sensor now as we can see that the fingerprint sensor in Some Smartphones is located on the backside or on the front capacitive keys but after this technology, the fingerprint sensor can Go Through Metal, Glass, And Displays.Qualcomm had installed this Sensor in prototype Vivo smartphone and was tested by Engadget’s Richard Lai in MWC Shanghai but this ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor can sense the fingerprint through OLED display Up to 1.2mm Thickness and It can also sense through metal and glass surfaces combined with a glass thickness of up to 0.800 mm and an aluminum thickness of up to 0.65 mm.

The main benefit of this sensor is that it can also sense our fingerprint when wet or greasy the companies like mi, le eco, etc. use the Qualcomm’s first generation fingerprint sensor that goes through the aluminium and glass but with the second generation of fingerprint the user can wake the smartphone under the water and can also use the greasy hands to wake up the phone. This fingerprint sensor also works as a navigation facility and also provides the cursor on the display. the mass production for this technology will start early in 2018.but the production for the under display fingerprint sensor will start from the next month. this new technology can be in the new upcoming Vivo smartphones.
